The Locarno Camellia exhibition is one of the most important events of its kind in Europe, with over 200 types of this flower splendidly arranged by experienced gardeners.

The program includes side-events and cultural moments. The Camellia Park, which was included in the “Gardens of Switzerland” network in 2014 and is home to over 950 types of camellias, will be open to all visitors during the day.

You are all welcome to experience the happy atmosphere on a  track of approximately 50 km, which runs between Locarno (Piazza Grande) and Bellinzona (Piazza Governo): a wonderful itinerary that connects the Lake Maggiore region, following along the Piano di Magadino, to the castles of Bellinzona.

As in previous years Locarno will stay awake all night long giving space to culture, music, art and entertainment. Live-concerts, dance performances, street artists, stalls with culinary specialities and other interesting proposals for adults and children enliven the squares in the old town of Locarno as well as the Piazza Grande, where the Radio Fiume Ticino DJ’s present great music shows. The extended trading hours of restaurants, bars, shops, art galleries and museums add to the buzzing atmosphere.
